Episode Description
In this episode, Asha, Hamdi, and Nima discuss their experiences as the eldest daughters in their families and the different roles their mothers and fathers play in the family. They explore how the pressures on them as daughters and their moms to fulfill multiple family responsibilities sometimes make for an exhausting life. They talk about the impact on their brothers and other boys in their community when fathers are not involved and wonder how they can get fathers to be more involved in their children’s life. Apropos of the topic, at one point, we hear Hamdi getting her siblings in the car and having to sign off for a bit so she can drive them home!
